AU CHAT BLEU
The history of the store "Au Chat Bleu" begins in Le Touquet. It was here, in 1912, that the two Remy sisters opened a confectionery.
Their two blue Persian cats, who occupied the shop, became mascots and eventually gave their name to the business.
By the end of the 1930s, the confectionery branched into chocolate making. Today, there are several locations in France, including Paris, Lille, and Quimper.
The aim of this project was to propose a complete overhaul of the brand identity that is both contemporary and reflective of its heritage and expertise.
To illustrate the brand's authenticity, the circular logo acts like a stamp, certifying the origin and quality of the products.
The drawing of the cat is elegant in its simplicity and mysterious in its silhouette and posture.
The typography evokes the 1930s while remaining modern. Various pictograms representing iconic buildings of Le Touquet reference the brand's origins,
including the Canche lighthouse, the covered market, and the Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc church.
The color palette evokes the ocean and the sand.
